Many of the buildings that we erect as GENERAL CONTRACTOR are built on the basis of sustainable development One example is the Hillwood Słubice II investment, which has recently received BREEAM certification at EXCELLENT level! In order to achieve such a high rating, we had to take care of a number of pro-environmental aspects The investment was equipped, among other things, with a modern system for monitoring and reducing electricity consumption. For his tasks include internal monitoring of the certification process, advising on the completion of tasks and verifying the evidence gathered before submitting to the final report. At Rex-Bud Budownictwo, there is a dedicated organisational unit that focuses on the ecological aspect 🌱 Our team implements and agrees on a number of pro-environmental guidelines on investments such as, for example, the assessment of the ecological values of the investment site, the protection of ecological values and the implementation of solutions to improve biodiversity, adapted to climatic conditions. . We also hold the ISO14001 environmental management certificate (EMS). BREEAM certification BREEAM was established in 1990 in the UK and is now one of the most widely used methods in Europe for assessing the environmental performance of buildings. The scheme aims to promote and reward building designs that are environmentally friendly, energy efficient and safe for occupants. How does one obtain a BREEAM certificate? The certification process focuses on many elements of a building such as management, health, comfort, energy, transport, water, materials, waste, ecology and pollution, among others. Each of these areas is analysed in detail and the building project is awarded points for meeting specific criteria. The body authorised to award the certifying certificate is - BREEAM International New Construction for newly constructed buildings and BREEAM In-Use International for existing developments. There are several levels of BREEAM building certification. The lowest level is unclassified, which indicates that a building does not meet the requirements for BREEAM certification.
